Nate Lowman - Art available now at Exhibition a gallery
I am loving Artist Nate Lowman's (boyfriend to one of the Olsen twins) print on paper "Paper Airlplane" available on line at Exhibition a gallery. - Paper Airplane depicts the urban legend where a folded $20 bill origami-ed just so, creates an image of the twin towers exploding. This painting is a contemporary deconstructionist's field day: the nexus of finance and terrorism, Warhol's penchant for disaster depiction, the American government's suggestion we shop our way out of the tragedy, and our country's obsession with conspiracies big and small.
Available in two sizes 10 x 12 @ $200.00 and 20 x 24 @ $400.00
Having lived in NYC when the towers went down, I feel a personal connection to this piece.
Enjoy,
Jordan

Verizon Monogrammed iPhone 4 Case

Personalize your new Verizon iPhone 4 with these sweet covers from lipstick shades. You can match them to your home design.
I think I need the black and white zigzag for my phone. At $65.00 they are a little more expensive then the norm, but these are not the norm.

Tiger Palpatja - Aboriginal Artist.
PLENTY FOODOn my last trip to Australia, I spent many hours researching and educating myself on different Aboriginal Artist, while i found many that I loved the Artist that most struck me is - Tiger Papatja - Born c 1920 this Amata elder is an important traditional healer who worked for many years as a shearer and farm hand. His remarkable career as an artist has only been recent and his strong knowledge of culture makes a potent mix with his dynamic images.
In his review of the 2006 Desert Mob exhibition in The Australian (September 11) leading journalist Nicholas Rothwell noted in reference to Tiger and his colleague Hector Burton that 'their canvases have a rough, vivid quality that sometimes calls to mind the earliest days of the painting movement, when Geoffrey Bardon was at Papunya, three decades ago."
Tiger's work has been acquired by the Flinders University Museum, National Gallery of Victoria and the National Gallery of Australia .In 2005 and 2006 he was a finalist in the NATSIAA (Telstra Art Award). He has had successful solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne ,Perth and Singapore.
Tiger is also featured in McCulloch's contemporary Aboriginal Art the complete guide on page 124.
Tiger's work is more important given that he only started to paint in 2004.
