Updated look at Jordan Cappella living room!

I have almost completed my living room see attached pics. I had burlap curtains custom made for the windows.......... just waiting on roman shades. The Morgan Fairchild portrait by San Francisco artist Jason Mercier is flanked by two gold hand leafed bamboo mirrors. I have decided i will paint this wall a light grey! lastly i bought another Saarinen side table so i have matching on either side of the sofa.

Change of Season change of Apartment Design! latest update.

So far i have changed out my sofa for a Vintage Burgundy chesterfield! (I am in love) it also has a pullout bed! And the Jordan Cappella Design ottoman has been replaced with a Metal Moroccan style coffee table.(which is for sale only $275.00) at Turquoise by Vanessa De Vargas

Next i will be removing the wallpaper panels and I am thinking the wall will end up an ocean blue seagrass wallpaper???

Jordan Cappella Signs on to Good Shepherd Charity Design Project

I am proud to have signed on with 27 of LA's best designers to take part in a new design charity project called Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children, located in Los Angeles. Project manager and organizers are Vanessa De Vargas and Vanessa Kogevinas. The project will be a 3 month process and will be completed at the end of July. Each room will be decorated with the finest of furnishings for each resident of Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children. The facility is a temporary housing facility to help women of all ages get back on their feet.

Three 80's Vintage Hollywood Regency style gold chairs

I am selling three gold 80's chairs that I had reupholstered in a blue and white zig zag fabric. These chairs are really fun and would look great in any setting from classic to modern.

I will sell one chair for $95.00, two chairs for $185.00 or all three chairs for $255.00.

These are priced to sell as I am redoing my apartment. Again!!!!

PS. There are no stains on them as I live in LA and don't eat :)

Vintage Hollywood Regency style Sofa, Couch for sale $225.00 SOLD

I have a gorgeous vintage Hollywood Regency style sofa for sale!

Tufted black vinyl body with wood and woven rattan arms. Does have two small tears and a couple of marks, I draped a cowhide in a very dramatic fashion over the sofa so it did not matter to me.

The dimensions are 30" deep x 30" tall x 78"wide Asking price $225.00

If you have any questions or would like to see the sofa. I was going to have it reupholstered but i needed to buy a pullout sofa for weary Aussie travelers instead!

The Elephant Caves Bali - GOA GAJAH (I loved this place so much)

Goa Gajah (elephant cave) a frequently-visited historical site in Bali that contains significant meaning for Balinese Hindus.

Situated in Bedulu Village, Gianyar, Goa Gajah is believed to have been carved from a hillside as a monastery in the 11th century, though it wasn't rediscovered until 1923. The name of this cave is probably taken from the nearby Petanu River, which at one time was known as Elephant River, or possibly because the entrance to the cave resembles an elephant. It is used by the Balinese as a holy place for worshipping the God Shiva and his elephant-headed son Ganesha.

Buddha statues and fertility symbols can be found inside the cave, suggesting that it had a long history of religious use. Today, it is a cool, dark place to contemplate Bali's distant past.


The origins of the cave are uncertain. One tale relates that it was created by the fingernail of the legendary giant of Kebo Iwo. It probably dates at least to the 11th century, and it was certainly in existence at the time of the Majapahit takeover of Bali. The cave was rediscovered by Dutch archeologists in 1923, but the fountains and bathing pools were not unearthed until 1954.

Inside the T-shaped cave you can see fragmentary remains of Lingam, the phallic symbol of the Hindu God Shiva, and its female counterpart the Yoni, plus a statue of Shiva's son, the elephant headed God Ganesha. In the counter yard in front of the cave are two square bathing pools with water gushing into them from waterspouts held by six female figures. To the left of the cave entrance, in a small pavilion, is a statue of Hariti, surrounded by children.

Potato Head - Where all the Pretty People go in Bali!

Potato Head is a sophisticated twist on the typical bistro and bar around the globe set in a unique original design complemented by a different  interpretation of authentic bistro cuisines and a cocktail list that have set a totally new standard of drinking culture in Bali. Potato Head Club located on the beach in Seminyak, ushers in a new era with an internationally recognized venue.

That being said.......... if you want to be with the pretty people this is the place to go (I snuck in).....Think a Schrager property. And don't forget you swimming costume, you wont be able to resist a dip in the stunning infinity pool!


My favorite part of course a design feature..........the entire exterior wall is made from vintage shutters!
