Jordan Cappella exit HGTV Design Star Season 7 ep.2
Not really sure what I wanted to write for a few days now, and have decided to keep it short.
I do believe my white box challenge result was not my best work, but it was not the worst design on this episode either. So yes going home was a surprise to me also. The love support and reviews i have received from previous winners, contestants, bloggers, fans as well as the other DS7 finalists has truly touched me, kept a smile on my face and my head held high.
I could not believe that i would meet and live with 11 other individuals and love their crazy personalities so much. And truly make some lifelong friends! Saying goodbye to all the designers was the hardest challenge of all.
Please watch my exit video if you have a moment!
Many of you have contacted me and asked what next? - I will be shooting pilot presentations for my own Design Show. Hope to see you back on TV soon. xxxx

Jordan Cappella Before and After - Its all about the Journey!
I am so grateful for all the experiences life has presented, and those i have created to date. It is crazy to think that just over 3 years ago I was 30 pounds heavier numbing myself with alcohol and living in a converted garage with over 30k in debt. I hope that my experience inspires at least 1 person to believe in themselves and take a risk. You may fall flat on your face as I have many times, or you may end up that much closer to living your dream (which I am doing now). The only way to find out - is try xo

HGTV David Bromstad Design Tips - Sonoran Living Live
In order to work effectively you need a good work space, and if you work from home you have the luxury of creating an office that inspires you with every detail.
There's no better to person to go to for that inspiration than HGTV's David Bromstad , who is known using color and out of the box thinking to create unique spaces. My Co - Finalist Britany Simon gets a nice plug she is from Arizona and I get some nice face time.
Whether you are using a dining room or a dedicated room, according to Bromstad the best way to create an inspired space is to combine fashion and function.

Jordan Cappella Looking forward to Windows To The World May 9 - May 11
For over half a century La Cienega Design Quarter has been the destination for stylish shoppers of top quality design for the home. This legendary district with its romantic courtyards, alluring windows and treasure troves of antiques, furniture, rugs, accessories and art is known as shopping “heart” and workplace of the interior design profession. Side by side with some of LA’s most glamorous restaurants, bistros, and fashion boutiques, the LCDQ is west coast style destination for all.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, LEGENDS is a three-day event that has attracted over 10,000 designers and enthusiasts. Today, LEGENDS is a prominent fixture on the national design event calendar. A fusion of art, fashion, design and culture, LEGENDS provides a unique combination of education and entertainment for those who appreciate design.
Each year, LEGENDS embraces an overarching theme to pay homage to the people or things that help to create and inspire excellence in design. From May 9th-11th, 2012, LEGENDS will celebrate the impact that destinations in the world have on design. In support of the theme LEGENDS will, for the first time, extend the reach of its program beyond Los Angeles by inviting the most highly regarded interior designers from across the country and around the globe to decorate the legendary windows in the La Cienega Design Quarter.
I hope to see you there!

2012 - New Year, New Experiences - Turning a Weakness into a Strength
Hello Everyone,
Very recently my DIY (DO IT YOURSELF) skills were tested. Long story and I promise to explain in more detail on that at a later date..........
My main point today, I was not impressed with my own abilities. Basically when it came to DIY, I always thought it was better to pay someone else to do it. To be very honest i don't even like getting dirty and believed that DIY was better done with someone Else's hands.
So i have decided to turn a weakness into a strength and you are all my witnesses. I will work at becoming DIY competent (I may never say expert). This post is the start of placing more focus on personal DIY projects, as well as highlighting people that already exist out there in the community doing amazing work.
First call of personal DIY duty. Working on my Hallway, this entails painting stripes on the boring white walls. This is just the 1st faze i am showing you. I am currently working on a complete story with step by step details for a Design site. So this is just a teaser.
I hope you enjoy the pic and my new journey!
Thanks,
Jordan Cappella
