Curtain Panel Makover By Jordan Cappella "DIY" Trim

Do you want to change up the look of your curtains without the expense of buying new panels. A great and inexpensive way to do that is by adding a little trim. See below i am dressing up my Burlap panels with a fun yet sophisticated black pom pom trim. You don't even get that dirty!

Burlap panels before a little lost layered on the bamboo shades

Burlap panels after with Pom Pom trim

Tools - Scissors, tape measure, liquid stitch glue, pom pom trim

Lay Panel out flat

Measure length of panel and determine how much trim you will need

Lay trim next to panel for length

Start adding liquid stitch glue in 4 inch segments to side of panel where trim will be attached

Use fingers to put trim in place

Add light pressure as you work your way down the panel making sure trim is a straight and even as possible

Cut trim evenly at base of panel

Finished product Elegant sophisticated but still a fun look - by Jordan Cappella

I love this! Love the burlap!! I may just steal this idea actually lol (something similar at least!) Im ready for new curtains & I've been looking around but havent found any that I love yet that dont cost an arm & a leg per panel, so I have been thinking about making my own!! & I dont want to marry my curtains so a nice burlap sort of neutral would be great maybe! :) lol Still thinking on it but I do love these curtains & its just amazing how one small thing (like some fancy trim) can change the look of something so much!
