A lot of people have know idea that a canal system exists in Venice Beach, CA. Originally built in 1904 there was 16 miles of canals now there is only 4 x 6 blocks of these duck filled waterways. I am lucky enough to live a few blocks away and enjoy both the old and new architecture of this secret hideaway that was once home to the likes of Jim Morrison. I have seen the place in movies...it looks like a lovely place to live. Must be expensive though!
Sandman - Its not cheap now, and its really is a stunning place, the only negative is that you can look into everyones property.
